This data protection information sheet provides you with more information on the most important aspects of data processing related to our website.

If you contact us via our contact form on our website or via email, your provided data is saved for the processing of your request and likely future questions for as long as it is necessary to ensure the successful bilateral communication and discussion between you and bit media – in general, we save your data for at least 6 months. Without your express consent, none of this data is passed on to third parties.

The provided data is used to contact you and for any possible pre-contractual discussions. The data is not processed further in any other way.

If you have expressly agreed to receiving our newsletter in the contact form, your contact data is saved for this purpose until you revoke your consent.

Due to reasons of contract fulfilment and / or legal requirements, data of customers and suppliers is saved for a period of 10 years in our systems. This concerns mostly company data, contact persons and their contact information. If necessary, the received data is shared with banks, the tax authority, legal inspection agencies and in, special cases, with collection agencies and courts. The disclosure of data concerns mostly company data (legal persons), but can in some cases also concern natural persons.

Please note that the IP data of the connection owner as well as name, address and contact data of the buyer are saved with Cookies to create an easier shopping experience and make the later contract processing with the web shop operator more comfortable.

The data provided by you is necessary for the contract fulfilment and / or the fulfilment of pre-contractual measures. Without this data, no contract is possible. No data is passed on to third parties except for the passing on of purchase information for the processing of payments with the bank, credit institute, PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A and to transport and shipping companies for the delivery of the products as well as to our tax consultant according to the tax law.

After a purchasing process has been cancelled, the entered data is saved for 6 months and deleted afterwards (if no purchase has taken place). In case of a contractual agreement, all data resulting from this is saved until the end of the storage period as defined by the tax authorities (7 years).

The data on name, address, purchased products and purchase date is also saved until the end of the product liability (10 years). Data processing is based on the legal regulations defined in § 96 Par. 3 TKG and Art. 6 Par. 1 lit a (consent) and / or lit b (necessary for contract fulfilment) of the GDPR.
